We invite you again to share with us in the shinin’ times and beauty this rendezvous site has to offer.

Held at our Gobbler Knob site. See MAP for easy access from PA Turnpike and I-81.


The Blue Mountain Exit, Route 997 from PA Turnpike or Exit #201, and
the Scotland Exit from I-81 to Gobbler Knob are best for trailers

Signs will be posted at intersections after PA Turnpike or I-81.
Look for signs to Route 997 and turn onto Gobbler Knob!

Handicapped accessible.  City tap water will be provided for drinking and cooking purposes.

Public Visiting Days:  Saturday, June 16th, and Sunday, June 17th, hours are 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Saturday, June 23rd, hours are 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Admission: Only $5.00 (children under 13 are free).  Sutlers' Row is open to the public every day.

"Period" Day Visitors:  IF you are in pre-1840 dress & gear you may visit the rendezvous any day it is open.  The cost will be $5.00 per day.  The method of payment will be payment of $35.00 when you arrive at the gate and fill out a day visitor's card.  If on the same day you leave by 5:00 pm when the gate is closed you will be refunded $30.00.

Auction, Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at 1:00 P.M.  Donated items gratefully accepted up to auction time.  Open to the public (no admission cost), but public must leave at conclusion of auction.

Early Set-up:  The earliest setup days will be Thursday, June 14th, for pre-registered campers and sutlers.  NO earlier setup days will be allowed except for those members of the Work Party.  Work party will begin at 9am Sat, June 9th (and Sun, June 10th, if needed).


No membership is required in any organization to attend this rendezvous.  Insurance for this event is provided through the National Rifle Association (NRA).

Gates will be open  Thursday (June 14th) and Friday (June 15th) from 8:00 am to 7 pm for preregistered campers and sutlers.  Saturday (June 16th) through Friday (June 22nd) the gate will be open at 8:00 am and close at 5:00 pm.  On Saturday (June 23rd) the gate will be open at 8:00 am for campers and 10:00 am for the public.  We request, if you intend to leave on Saturday (June 23rd) that you either do so before 10:00 am or after 5:00 pm.  September 1st and Saturday, September 2nd at 7:00 AM and close at 7:00 PM.  For the remainder of the week the gate will open at 8:00 AM and close at 5:00 PM.  Vehicles must be out of camp before the gate closes.  The rendezvous will technically be over on Saturday (June 23rd), but you may stay over until Sunday (June 24th).  You will still be at rendezvous, though, so the rules will still be in force.

Clothing, etc.:  Period (Pre-1840) clothing, lodging and accoutrements are required at all times of campers and sutlers.

Medallions:  Camp medallions must be worn and easily seen when in camp.

All non-period items (e.g., ice coolers, cameras, etc.) must be covered at all times except during the brief moments in which they are in immediate use.  Period containers MUST be used in camp for such things, but not limited to, carrying ice, bringing groceries into camp after a shopping trip, and so on.

Fires & firewood:  Sod must be removed from the area of your fire pit before building a fire.  All sod should be replaced and the ground leveled when you tear down camp for departure.  You must return all unused fire wood to the camp wood pile prior to your departure.  No hoarding of firewood.  A minimum of 2 gallons of water should be in period container next to your fire pit at all times.  The use of propane will be permitted only with written permission of the Booshway.

Firearms:  All firearms will remain unloaded when not on the firing line at the range.  This includes flashing the pan and capping.  No loaded firearms in camp!  No modern firearms will be allowed in camp by campers, sutlers, or visiting public, except visiting law enforcement officers.  Thievery, fighting, and firearm violations will not be tolerated, and you will be expelled from camp immediately for any such violations!

Animals:  The only animals permitted in camp will be horses, mules and oxen. Current health and negative Coogins certificates are required for horses and mules.

All Sutler’s items are to be Pre-1840. NO acrylics, rayons, nylons, or other such non-natural materials will be sold.  No merchandise will be displayed in plastic wrappers or containers.  Dog soldiers and Trade Committee members will periodically visit all sutlers' "stores".  Sutlers will obtain a trade license, which will be displayed at all times.  Sutlers are responsible for ensuring that all trade items conform to all federal, state, county, and township laws and regulations. The sale or trade of alcoholic beverages in any form is prohibited

Water:  City tap water will be provided for drinking purposes.

Setup & Tear down:  During the event campers will be allowed 60 minutes to unload, and 60 minutes to load after tear-down.  Sutlers will be allowed 90 minutes for both times.

Camp feast:  Wednesday evening, please bring a covered dish to share with fellow campers.  We'll provide the meat.

Children under age 13 years must be under adult supervision when handling edged weapons or firearms.  They must be similarly supervised when within 6 feet of the pond.

Sutlers' Row will be located inside the gate with the rest of the "primitives" between the modern and primitive camps.  Sutlers' Row, and only that area, will be open to the public every day.
    Sutlers Take Note: There is no additional Sutler's fee this year!
